This can cause debris, dust and UV rays to enter the lenses over a period of time. The oxidation can also lead to fading and the lens can appear foggy and cloudy over a period of time. Due to the deterioration of the lens the quality of light can also be affected and you may not get the same quality which you received in the initial days.
