In the past there was very little in the way of lighting for emergency response vehicles. This left the vehicles difficult to see and therefore put the personnel in danger. With the introduction of Light Bars LED for vehicles that it has meant that at all times our emergency vehicles can be seen. Such is the power of LED lighting it can be seen over great distance in all weather conditions. Many of the new Light Bars LED can even be seen in very bright sunlight, which in the past has caused problems for some LED lights.

There are two different types of light head that are in Light Bars LED units. There is the TIR light head, which have internal optics, what this does, is help concentrate the beam of light. TIR light heads quite often have a lens diffuser to widen the spread of light emitted. The most popular light head used today is the linear LED light head. This type of Light Bars LED light has the LED's mounted in a linear lens. The linear light head have a reflector mounting which gives a brighter and wider output of light.

The Light Bars LED units available on the market today are far more sophisticated than the older units. The color availability coupled with the variety of flash patterns means they can be used in more situations. Many units have a 2-tier set of Light Bars LED and this gives police especially a multi use unit. Units with take down light; alley lights and traffic advisors mean they only need one light unit fitted to the top of the vehicle.

One very important factor of the units available today is they are very easy to use, which means when our emergency responders need them they don't have to worry about complicated instructions. The modern Light Bars LED are all very energy efficient, which means that they can be left on for long periods without any significant drain on the vehicle's battery. All states differ in the requirement for lighting for emergency vehicles and as such there is no standard type of Light Bars LED unit. There is a vast array of Light Bars LED on the market and whatever your state requirement is you will be able to find suitable light units.

The design of many of the Light Bars LED means they are low profile and therefore reduce drag on the vehicle, which saves fuel. The construction of the Light Bars LED diodes means there is no chance of a bulb breaking or a filament to burn out. Modern light bars are virtually maintenance free, which can give significant savings. First responders need emergency lighting and it is good that the new LED units give them value for money whilst they protect and serve.
